Education & Training
Dr. Lowell earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School before completing his internship and residency in General Surgery at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago. He then advanced his training with fellowships in Cardiothoracic and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at Indiana University Medical Center and Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. His international experience at Brompton Hospital in London broadened his expertise in treating complex cardiac conditions.
Professional Experience
For more than 30 years, Dr. Lowell has practiced medicine at the highest level. He served as Chairman of Surgery and Assistant Chief of Staff at Tucson Medical Center, as well as Chairman of Surgery at Carondelet St. Joseph’s Medical Center. His leadership in both hospital and private practice settings helped set new standards for quality care throughout Southern Arizona.
Today, Dr. Lowell brings this depth of experience to his adult medicine practice in Tubac, combining surgical precision with a thoughtful, patient-first approach.
